A Weighty Problem

Dr Kenyon is taking me in hand with regard my weight.

When I left hospital last year, at the end of March, I weighed 14 stone.  At the last Diabetic Clinic at the end, no, in the middle of May, I tipped the scales at 16 stones 2lb!!!?  So had to return in a fortnight, having lost at least 3lbs, or I’d be in for it good and proper.  When I did return I went up to Sister to be weighed and was 15 stone 11lb – which information I tried very hard to hold in my head, but I think I tried too hard because after waiting for ages for my turn to see Dr Kenyon, and then being introduced to a Student she had sitting in with her, when she asked me how much I weighed this time I said “Fifteen food, Eleven inches”.   When they stopped laughing Dr Kenyon said “I don’t think that can be right or you would need a warning light for planes on your noddle”.  Well, I knew what I meant.  It was because I was concentrating so hard on the actual figures, I got the stones muddle with feet for some reason.

I’d love to know what Dr Kenyon said to the Student after I left.

The Christening

July 3rd is the Christening, or Dedication of Nathan at Staple Hill Salvation Army, so I shall be going down for that, of course.  When I last spoke to Helen she said he then weighed 7lb 12ox, so he is coming along slowly but surely and appears to be going along O.K.  I did enjoy holding him and cuddling him when I was down last in April/May and expect I will see quite a difference when I next see him in July.
